Club Facts:

Virginia National Golf Club at the Battleground of Cool Spring is one of northern Virginia's crowned jewels. This extraordinary course is set between the scenic Shenandoah River and Blue Ridge Mountains. Between these two masterpieces of nature lie 18-holes of golfing splendor.

Amenities:

Two-tiered, natural grass tee driving range.

Cool Spring Grill, where you will find an outstanding lunch and snack menu. Cold beer, mixed drinks, and soft beverages are served in a grill adorned with Civil War memorabilia.

At the heart of the property is a rustic log-cabin clubhouse featuring 16-foot cathedral ceilings, a well-stocked golf shop, a full-service grill, and an outdoor deck where you can rehash your round with a cold beverage.

The log cabin look was chosen to correspond with the course and area. Also, in keeping with the rich history of the property, the clubhouse is decorated with Civil War memorabilia (some available for purchase).

Designed by renowned architect Jerry Matthews, the course accentuates and amplifies the beauty of the natural terrain. Meticulous planning and routing by Mr. Matthews assures that each hole compliments the previous one in a harmonious way, providing thrills and challenges at every turn. Virginia National's layout was designed to highlight the exceptional natural characteristics that Mother Nature so richly provided.

Many factors make Virginia National a far cry from the typical residential style golf course that have become the norm-to name a few.....

~ Four sets of tee boxes for golfers of all skill levels
~ Gentle rolling fairways that ebb and flow to mirror the river
~ Breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside from mountainside tee boxes
~ Strategically placed greens framed by century old hardwood trees and natural stands of weeping willows.

In fact, there's not a single residential or commercial property within eye-shot, except those seen at a great distance in the spectacular panoramas high atop the 14th hole.
