Club Facts:
Cross Creek Golf Club will get the attention of golfers of all skill
levels right from the start. The par 5 first requires a precise
drive over water with trees lining the remainder of the hole. The
par 70, Ault, Clark & Associates design embraces the natural
forested landscape while carving out fairways that will make
accuracy and shot making a premium. On the back nine the remnants of
an old gravel quarry afforded many unique opportunities to forge
spectacular holes amid the weathered vertical sand backs.
The two most visually striking holes are found on the back and once
a golfer reaches the crest of the par 5, 13th, a panorama unlike any
other in the Washington area unfolds. “Man and Mother Nature have
given us an unbelievable opportunity to create something that looks
like the high country of Colorado, versus the low lands of
Maryland,” says Clark.
This championship course and residential community is delicately
laid out to provide a balanced interaction with numerous creeks,
ponds and spirited elevation changes. With bentgrass tees, fairways
and greens Cross Creek Golf Club is a “must play” for golfers in the
Mid-Atlantic/ Washington DC region.
Cross Creek Golf Club is the latest gem from Ault, Clark &
Associates. Players of all abilities will fall in love with this
upscale public facility, complete with bentgrass tees, fairways, and
greens. This wooded 18-hole championship layout, with the Little
Paint Branch.
Creek meandering through the course, several spirited elevation
changes and rock outcroppings on several holes offers players
scenery that is unmatched in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Upon its opening in July of 2003, the Clubhouse at Cross Creek Golf
Club has been a place to relax and enjoy a good meal, for both our
players and our community. Within the clubhouse you will find the
Quarry Grill, an upscale bar and grill serving excellent food to our
favorite guests. Banquet space is also available for those
individuals who wish to host reserve space for private events or
weddings. Our patio is open seasonally for those who wish to sample
an appetizer and a cocktail, while enjoying scenic views of the
course.
Clubhouse and Quarry Grill hours vary by season, and we ask our
guests to call in advance for hours and clubhouse availability.
