Emerald Mountain Golf Club features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Ward Northrup and is located in the peaceful hills along the end of the Appalachian Trail in Elmore County.

The Club is located approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Montgomery near Highway I-85. The natural springs roll through the forests below amid the rugged beauty of deep ravines, rolling hills, serene untouched wetlands and unexpected hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. Emerald Mountain is destined to become one of the Southeast's premier golf facilities.

Mr. Northrup has taken the natural advantages of the site and worked harmoniously with them to create a course that, besides its play, is an experience in itself. This course presents itself differently to golfers of varying skill levels.

For the experienced player, the course offers interesting challenges and championship tees that will bring out your strongest game. Yet, it is designed to be a course with the ultimate in playability, ensuring enjoyable round after round, revealing its intricacies and craftsmanship the more it is played.

The 18-hole championship course at Emerald Mountain utilizes the best of golf course design from the Southeast United States. The front 9 might best be described as a mountain course with dramatic elevation changes akin to Northern Georgia as well as heavily wooded landscapes similar to Carolina golf.

Our back 9 features a flat layout and many water hazards reminiscent of the best of Florida golf. The golf course at Emerald Mountain offers a challenging yet rewarding golf experience for scratch golfers and average golfers alike.

Our excellent conditions are one aspect of the course that is immediately apparent. Ultimately Emerald Mountain Golf Club will deliver a beautiful, satisfying round of golf well worth your time and money.

Directions:

From I-65: Take exit 173 and go 6.5 miles to US-231. Follow 231 for 3.5 miles to Redland Road. Follow Redland Road for 1.5 miles and turn right onto Rifle Range Road. Go 3.5 miles and turn left onto Peace Church Road. Follow Peace Church Road 1.3 miles to Mountain View Drive. Turn right onto Mountain View Road.

From I-85: Take exit 9 and go 2 miles north to Highway 80 West. Turn left to McLemore Road. Turn right at McLemore Road, go 3.2 miles then turn left on Dozier Road. Follow Dozier Road for 2.1 miles through the Emerald Mountain toll bridge and turn right onto Rifle Range Road. Take an immediate left onto Peace Church Road. Follow Peace Church Road for 1.3 miles to Mountain View Drive. Turn right onto Mountain View Road.
